I fell in love with yoga after a friend coaxed me to class with the promise of happy hour afterwards in 2014. I left dripping in sweat, sore, and confused but knew I had go to back. I initially enjoyed the physical practice, linking breath and movement, but realized yoga is so much more than the physical practice as I cultivated inner peace, strength and community on and off the mat.
Students can expect thoughtfully sequenced flows drawn from my own practice and study of Power yoga, Rocket vinyasa yoga and Ashtanga. I consider myself really down to earth, compassionate, and friendly which translates into my teaching style, allowing students to meet themselves on their mat, with whatever they are feeling and find their edge in a fun, don’t-take-yourself-too-seriously, safe space. I want students leaving my classes empowered, knowing they are capable of so much more than they realize. Whether that’s unlocking a pose, quieting the mind or making a meaningful connection with their breath & movement.
I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with Yoga Heights with Jess Pierno and Angela Meyer in 2017 and registered through Yoga Alliance with over 650+ hours of teaching experience. I’m Level 1 Certified in The Rocket Vinyasa System, studying 100 hours with Patrick McCleaf and David Kyle. I currently practice Ashtanga under the guidance of Michael Joel Hall and enjoy HIIT training to compliment my yoga practice. Endlessly grateful to my teachers and students who continue to inspire my practice each time I step on my mat.
When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, you can find me at a music show, rock climbing, gardening, baking bread or hanging out with my husband, Sean, rescue pup Disco, and their rescue cats, Gustavo and Peppers.
