Hi, I’m Becca

I’m a seasoned yoga instructor that has taught in the DMV area for almost a decade. I found yoga after a friend coaxed me to class with the promise of happy hour afterwards. I left dripping in sweat, sore, and confused but knew I had go to back. The physicality of yoga kept me coming back, but I realized yoga is so much more than the physical practice as I cultivated inner peace, strength and community.

I have a down to earth, compassionate, and friendly teaching style that allows students to meet themselves on their mat, with whatever they are feeling and find their edge in a fun, don’t-take-yourself-too-seriously, safe space. My goal is to help students better understand themselves while building both physical strength, breath, and inner resilience that extends far beyond the four corners of our mats. I don't believe yoga alone can save us, but I do think how we show up on our mats and how we treat ourselves in the process has a way of rippling into the rest of our lives.

I completed my 200-hour teacher training with Yoga Heights in Washington, DC and hold a Rocket Vinyasa Yoga Level 1 certification, having studied 100 hours with Patrick McCleaf and David Kyle. I have also taken 30 hours of Prenatal/Postnatal training with Jess Gruber and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance. I remain deeply grateful to both my teachers and students who continue to inspire my practice each time I step on my mat.

Outside of yoga, I enjoy moving my body in all different modalities, spending time with family, traveling and baking bread.
